What this website stores about you

If you are reading, nothing. No cookie is set by this site, nothing is written to your browser's storage, and browsing every page here leaves no record behind.

There are two things you can choose to do that are different, and both are described in full below. Applying to the creator partnership program submits a form that is stored in a database. Signing in to the partner dashboard, which only an approved and signed partner can do, sets a session cookie — the one cookie this site sets, on the one part of the site behind a sign-in. Everything else — the games, the blog, the contact forms — stores nothing about you and sets nothing in your browser.

If you send a message

The contact and business forms take your name, your email address, optionally your organisation and a subject, and your message. Those are turned straight into an email and delivered to the same mailbox that contact@araneidinteractive.com and business@araneidinteractive.com forward to, where the studio owner reads it. No copy is kept on this website — there is no database behind the forms, and once the email is handed to Cloudflare for delivery this site retains nothing.

Your email address is used to reply to you and for nothing else. You will not be added to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list. Messages are kept in the studio's mailbox for as long as the conversation is useful and are deleted when it is not.

Spam protection

The forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which decides whether a submission came from a person without profiling you or tracking you across sites. It is used instead of a conventional CAPTCHA precisely because it does not build an advertising profile out of the answer.

Analytics

If page analytics are enabled, they are Cloudflare Web Analytics: no cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, and no data that identifies an individual visitor. That is why this site shows you no cookie banner — it has nothing to ask your consent for.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare's network. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the requests your browser makes — IP address, browser type, the page requested — in order to serve the page and to block attacks. The studio does not receive or keep those logs.

Who else sees anything

Three, each doing one job:

• Cloudflare — hosting, spam protection, delivery of form submissions as email, the creator-application database, and analytics if enabled.
• The studio's email provider — receives the forwarded message, the same way it would if you had emailed directly.
• Resend — sends the emails the creator program needs: confirming your address, telling you the decision either way, carrying the agreement to sign, and the dashboard's sign-in links. Nothing else, and it is involved only if you apply.

Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with anyone else, and there is no advertising or data-broker relationship of any kind.

If you apply to the creator program

The creator partnership application is the only form on this site whose contents are kept here. It has to be: a partnership is a relationship with a payment attached, and an email that has been read and deleted is no basis for one.

What is stored, and nothing beyond it:

• Your name and email address.
• Your country, if you give it — used only to work out how you could be paid.
• The channel links you submit, and any follower or view figures you type. Those figures are recorded as your own estimates and are never presented as verified.
• What you wrote about why you want to take part.
• When you ticked the two boxes on the form, so there is a record of what you agreed to and when.
• The country your submission came from and your browser's user-agent string, to spot floods of automated applications.Your IP address is not stored.

If your application is accepted

An accepted applicant is emailed a partnership agreement to sign. Signing it adds three things to the record above:

• Your signature — the name you type, the date and time, and a fingerprint of the exact version of the agreement you signed, so that what you agreed to can always be established. The country your signature came from and your browser's user-agent are stored alongside it, for the same reason as above and with the same limit:no IP address.
• Your date of birth. A person under 18 cannot be held to a contract without a parent or guardian's signature, so we have to know which you are. It is stored rather than reduced to a yes-or-no because the requirement ends on a particular date and a yes-or-no cannot say which date. It is never shown publicly, never used for anything else, and is deleted with the rest of your record.
• A parent or guardian's name, email address and relationship to you, if you are under 18 — supplied by you, and used only to send them the agreement and record their co-signature. If they reply to say they were not expecting it, nothing goes ahead.

Anyone under 13 is turned away at that point and nothing about them is recorded.

The partner dashboard

A signed partner can sign in at the partner dashboard to see their own record. There is no password: we email a link that works once. Signing in sets one cookie — the only cookie this site sets anywhere. It holds a random identifier and nothing else, it is scoped so that it is not sent to any other page on this site, and signing out deletes it. Nothing in it identifies you to anyone who intercepts it.

Once an application exists, this site reads the public pages and public APIs of the channels you listed, to check the links work and to record the follower counts those platforms publish. It never asks you to connect an account and never holds a credential for one — there is no “sign in with YouTube” here, deliberately, so nothing about your channel is available to this site that is not already public.

Who else sees it. The emails above are sent through Resend, a transactional email provider, which therefore handles your address and the text of those messages — including, if you are a minor, your guardian's address. The application, the agreement and the signature are stored on Cloudflare in Eastern North America. Nobody else sees any of it, and none of it is used for marketing — there is still no mailing list.

How long. A declined application is deleted within twelve months. An unconfirmed one — where the emailed link is never used — is deleted within thirty days. An accepted one is kept for as long as the partnership lasts, and afterwards for as long as tax law requires the payment records to be kept.

Never stored here. Payment details and tax documents. Partners are paid through Wise, and the way that works is the point: we send the payment to the email address you nominate, and you enter your bank details with Wise directly. The studio never sees them and this site never stores them — it holds your nominated address and a reference to the transfer, and nothing else. No account numbers, no cards, no tax forms.

Wise therefore handles your name and that email address when a payment is made, in the same way Resend handles them when we write to you. Nobody is paid anything yet, because attribution is not live — this describes what will happen rather than what has.

Our games and apps

This policy covers the website only. The studio's games and apps have their own. The Endless Murder stores gameplay data locally and uses Google Play Billing for optional purchases on Android: read its policy. Mobile Journal is designed so your writing stays encrypted on your own device with no account and no server. Where a title has no page here yet, its policy ships with the title.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and, where it applies to you, the GDPR, you can ask what personal information the studio holds about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. In practice that means the emails you have sent and, if you applied to the creator program, the application described above. Write to contact@araneidinteractive.com and it will be handled within thirty days.

Children

This site is not directed at children. The one place age matters is the creator partnership: you must be at least 13 to take part, which is also the minimum account age every platform in the program sets for itself, and anyone younger is turned away with nothing recorded. A partner under 18 cannot complete the agreement without a parent or guardian co-signing it. The studio's games carry their own age ratings on the stores that list them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described on this page rather than quietly swapped in.
